Paris (France), December 28, 2023 : Amethis takes a majority stake in Capital Banking Solutions, a European player in the banking software market,  in order to accelerate its international development

Amethis, an associate member of Edmond de Rothschild Private Equity, through its European strategy aimed at supporting SMEs in their internationalization, announces it has taken a majority stake in Capital Banking Solutions (“CBS” or “The Company”) alongside Samer Hanna (President & CEO), Michel Tueni (COO) and Aziz Akl (CFO), as well as several key executives of the company who are reinvesting their entire shareholdings.

For over 25 years, CBS has been a publisher and integrator of innovative banking solutions tailored to international banks in Europe, Africa, The Middle East and America, headquartered in Paris, France.

The company currently offers two flagship solutions, each complemented by standalone satellite products :

• CapitalBanker: the Core-Banking product range, with CapitalBanker at its core, is designed to meet the various needs of financial institutions (retail, corporate, microfinance, treasury or postal banks), with this agile banking ERP offered in cloud or on-premise mode in Europe, Africa, the Middle East and America.
• CapitalPrivate: the Wealth Management product family for European private banks and wealth management specialists, CapitalPrivate is a front-office solution designed to provide portfolio management, CRM and compliance tools within a single digital platform.

In 2022, CBS generated sales of over €30m, more than half of which in Europe. Currently, the company employs nearly 300 people across its offices in France, Monaco, Switzerland, the United States, Morocco, Lebanon and Ivory Coast.

Amethis will now support CBS in this primary operation in order to accelerate its organic growth, especially internationally. Additionally, Amethis will also support CBS in its external growth strategy, with the acquisition of entities that will enable the Company to extend its geographical coverage and/or strengthen its existing solutions.

Lastly, CBS will pursue its sustainability initiatives, aligning with Amethis’ policy.
